Serving as a community hub for East Lewis County in the foothills town of Randle, the new Mountain View Library was the first new library in the Timberland Regional Library System in over 20 years. The 3,400 SF building hosts amenities for all ages, from the two-story mushroom play structure for children to a four-seasons community meeting room and a drive-thru window for on-the-go patrons. Clerestory windows and ample daylighting at the perimeter fill the vaulted collections space with light while showcasing the surrounding landscape. An efficient layout allowed this building to make the most of the project budget, delivering a true gem for Randle readers.
