Centrally located near Hillsboro Medical Center, Pacific University Hillsboro Campus, and adjacent to the Portland MAX light rail line, this three-story, 33,000 SF apartment building features large, modern apartments designed to appeal to remote workers. Constructed with a pre-stressed concrete podium and wood framing at the upper two levels, the structural system also features exposed mass plywood at the corridors to maximize corridor heights for utilities. PCS worked closely with the project team to strategically locate new columns around an existing vault in the parking lot. Footings were also placed deeply to reduce impact on the detention vault. A rooftop terrace with beautiful wood pergolas creates a stylish community space for residents.
