Albers Mill

This project featured a renovation and seismic upgrade of the Albers Brothers Milling Co. building (listed on the National Historic Registry). A 22,000 square-foot steel brace frame structure was added to the east and west sides of the existing building to laterally support the 27,000 square-foot, five-story masonry brick building, thereby allowing for more usable space within the existing historic building. The structural scope of work included extensive restoration of the wood floor and penthouse roof structure.
