Don Scott, SE, FSEI, FASCE, Vice President and Director of Engineering at PCS Structural Solutions, is the recipient of The James M. Delahay Award which is presented at the recommendation of the NCSEA Code Advisory Committee to recognize outstanding individual contributions towards the development of building codes and standards. It is given in the spirit of its namesake, a person who made a long and lasting contribution to the code development process.

Peace Island Medical Center has been getting national attention. The project won a prestigious AIA National Healthcare Design Award in July, detailed in Building Design & Construction Magazine. It is also the cover story for the July/August issue of Medical Construction & Design Magazine. Both recognize the project's cutting-edge sustainability (such as the clear spans that accommodate daylighting, and use of local materials), along with the special needs of a facility designed for a rural island.
