Columbia Bank Center

2001

The $40 million, 190,000 sq. ft. headquarters for Columbia Bank was the first Class A office space constructed in Tacoma in over a decade.  Constructed at the edge of the bluff overlooking the Thea Foss waterway, the sleek shaped building, with a spire at its prow, was heralded as a landmark in the revitalization of downtown Tacoma.  Nine floors of office space and a floor of underground parking serve as the Administration Headquarters for Columbia Bank.  The structure, framed out of steel construction and braced frames, helped speed construction and provided maximum office space around the perimeter.
